My self-summary
I see myself as a very curious person, have a genuine love of people. I've been called extroverted more than once although I do consider myself an introverted extrovert. I'm generally, but not always, drawn to creative types, snappy dressers, social justice types, those who think outside the box, layed back critical thinkers, and those with a sense of rhythm.

I'm often a busy person and/or enjoy keeping myself busy; there's always tons to do, learn or explore wherever I go. At the end of the day, it's all about personal growth.

Call me old fashioned but a good intimate date (intimate is subjective) once in a while of engaged yacking, sharing thoughts, lots of smiles and laughter feeds the soul.

I'm always open to making new connections with local and not so local types. I travel often and appreciate when I get to visit friends and acquaintances, and vice versa when someone I know is in the city.
What I’m doing with my life
My daily goal is to appreciate, learn, listen, inspire, meditate, facilitate and create. I have two careers, yes two; I'm a program coordinator for a non profit agency as well as maintain a private practice individual and family practice. Yes I may work a lot but I have a passion with what I do. I realize not a lot of people feel the same way with their careers so I'm appreciative, privileged and lucky.

In my off time you'll find me harvesting in the forest, at the gym, at an event, or at home relaxing with a glass of wine.
I’m really good at
Making killer chocolate chip cookies, petting furry creatures, learning by watching, approaching strangers and being an active listener... and I seem to notice the little things like lint on someone's jacket and can spot the dinosaur in those abstract picture puzzles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told that I'm a nice guy, cute and engaging. My besties say that I don't shy away from challenging and awkward conversations - I've proactively chatted with a few religious picketers at Pride. I'm not into arguing points back and forth. I'd rather share information with the hope that we all learn something new. However, I do have limits and as long as certain beliefs don't trump people's rights, then we're all good.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: People who know me, know I'll try anything. Sweet is great, spicier to the point of sweat and runny noses is better.

Music: I have an appreciation for all types... yep, even the ones that seem to get on people's nerves.

Shows: I prefer to watch documentaries, "how to" shows, and old comedies.

I wish I had more time to read for pleasure. I'd list what I read but listing journals may not be appealing to the masses unless your kinda geeky like me. :)
The six things I could never do without
Ability to communicate (all forms of communication)
Anything with chocolate
Mindful contemplation
Furry friends (the kind that barks)
A good massage
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what makes people tick, the practice of mindfulness, what I'm going to cook for the week.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely: chillaxing, reading a book, spending time with friends, drinking a glass of wine, house renos but with a second wind maybe out dancing or at an event (usually a fundraiswer of some sort or some artsy thing).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm more than happy to share... but over a java.
You should message me if
... you're feeling friendly.
