My self-summary
Car went kablooey near Savannnah so I'm stuck in Georgia for a bit. I'm simply another thread being woven into the tapestry of creation and... just kidding. Sort of. If you are looking for knows-what-he-wants-to-do-for-the-rest-of-his-life guy, I'm probably not for you. Don't confuse that for a lack of ambition, just a lack of detailed plans. I can tell you that I'm probably going to have Captain Crunch for breakfast tomorrow, if that helps.

I have done stuff, at times. I've got a degree in literature and creative writing which I enjoyed studying very much. I'm writing a novel or three, one of which I'll hopefully finish. I work as a freelance copywriter.

I try to learn musical instruments intermittently. So far I've failed miserably at trumpet, moderately at guitar (multiple times), and have had some success with piano. Not much success, but enough that I don't want to smash the thing into a million pieces every time I try to play it. Sometimes I think I can sing.

I'm a bleeding heart liberal and believe very deeply in human rights.

My shift key sticks and sometimes my 'a' key doesn't work, so messages from me may or may not read like they're from a stoned ee cummings.

I'm looking for a partner in adventure, someone I can laugh like an idiot with and talk about philosophy and explore things and places and stuff that're begging to be explored. I know who I am and I like it, and I gravitate toward people who share that same quality.
What I’m doing with my life
Reading and writing and working, mostly, all around the country.
I’m really good at
Persuading. Is that a skill? Pretty good cook.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes or my butt chin. Yeah, probably the butt chin.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Infinite Jest is my favorite book ever. Hiaasen, Vonnegut, Heller, DFW, Percy Shelley, Mary Shelley, Keats, Wordsworth, Orwell, Sedaris, Forster, Kerouac, Hunter S Thompson, Virginia Woolf. Don't read much fantasy but I loved the Fire and Ice series. Big fan of Shakespeare in particular and Renaissance theater in general. Not Joseph Conrad. Never, ever Joseph Conrad.

Movies: In Bruges (Martin McDonagh is the best), Snatch, anything Guy Ritchie did except Sherlock Holmes, most of Tarantino's stuff.

TV: Philly Sports, HBO, Science channel, cartoons, footie

Music: The Stones, Warren Zevon, VAN MORISSON!, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, Elvis Costello, The Roots, Flogging Molly, Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, The Pogues, Passion Pit, Jane's Addiction, etc. Only thing I don't much like is Top 40 classic rock. And I love punk rock. Joe Strummer is my hero. Also dig female leads.

Food: Anything that comes from the sea except oysters and scallops, but I'll eat those too. Actually, fuck that. No oysters.
The six things I could never do without
Crack pipe
More crack
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Space. Time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Howling at the moon.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If given the opportunity I'd enjoy singing and dancing around on stage wearing crazy, skintight shit like Mick Jagger.
You should message me if
Any reason at all. You are into dark humor. You like books! You want to go on adventures.

Don't message if: you have kids (nothing personal, just not ready for all that), the only book you in your 'things you like' is Twilight or nothing at all.
