My self-summary
I have lived long enough to know a few things but learn something new every day.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a writer, an artist and a radio show host. Recently moved to Arizona and - crazy as this sounds - am loving the heat. Moving from the Northwest to the Southwest is a change but every place has its upside and it's downside. I am focusing on all the good.
I’m really good at
oh so many things, she says modestly. Gourmet cook who loves to entertain.I am working on a screenplay and several books. I create art and teach spiritual classes. I make people laugh while opening doors to their own self-discovery. I am really good at accepting people right where they are.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea. maybe my humour or perhaps my great smile or possibly my eyes. You be the judge of that
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
All time favorite movie is Casablanca or any Bogart movie. Loved Richard Geer in Breathless - a movie few people remember. Brokeback Mountain broke my heart. Dead Man Walking should have won best director. The Hobbit (Books were better) C.S. Lewis good author. Read science fiction to relax. Loved stage productions of Westside Story and Miss Saigon. Love live theatre. All Music interests me including some rap. Rock to Bach. Blues to country. Jazz to Reggae. Billie Holiday, The Grateful Dead, and Bob Wills. Van Morrison. Especially These are the Days and Someone like You. Leanard Cohen from Suzanne to My oh my oh my Nora Jones Phillip Phillips I'm gonna make this place your home. I love well prepared food of almost any kind. Not big on fast food. I loved Salty's Happy Hour and Shanghai dumplings in Bellevue when I lived in Seattle. Now I am in the PHOENIX AREA and ready to explore and find new interesting places.
A good steak. Copper River Salmon. Never eat seafood in New Mexico, but the green chile will knock your socks off.
Six things I could never do without
air water laughter love family friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Recently, wondering how real is an online dating site? Do men just write what they think women want to hear and vice versa? If I said I wanted a man who would satisfy my soul, would anyone have a clue as to what that meant? Do I even know? We can read how someone answered questions and get some idea of a mindset, but does that tell us who that person actually is? AND, most importantly, how do we know if anyone is being authentic and real? Anyway, that's what I am thinking about tonight. Who knows what I will be thinking about tomorrow.
On a typical Friday night I am
writing reading on the phone out to dinner or preparing to do a show
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
since I am extremely transparent that covers a lot
You should message me if
You enjoy scintillating conversation, good food, good books, have a twinkle in your eye, love laughing, and want to explore new and interesting things. Maybe I should add that I am NOT looking for someone who is lonely, desperate, and wants a woman - any woman - to make him feel whole. The person I am interested in meeting stands on his own two feet and is thrilled that I do the same. He also knows that creationism isn't a thing, that you can count flag burnings on the fingers of one hand (hence not a burning issue and Constitutionally covered under the First amendment as free speech) and all a wall does is keep migrating animals from being able to move freely (Humans can go over and under). However, it does make certain construction companies huge profits so I guess if you love the idea of the extremely wealthy getting wealthier, have at it, hoss. I believe those views show little thought has gone into them and are rooted in fear of "The Other". An open, thinking person with a great sense of humor is perfect.
