What I’m doing with my life
Since 1999 i have been doing philanthropic work in remote regions of developing countries. i go to Nepal a few times a year as well as Haiti, Central and South America etc... i have been heading up an outdoor leadership school where students from the US go overseas and we get to work with schools, orphanages and medical clinics in remote mountainous regions of these countries. i am now slowing down a bit with the overseas traveling and shifting gears. I started Med School this spring (2012) in hopes of acquiring some new skills as a Physician Assistant so that i can further impact the communities i have been invested in. i am pretty adventurous and love people. i am passionate about making a difference in the world God has placed me in. I have always been a bit non traditional as far as my vocation but am pretty traditional as far as my love for family and my love for Jesus. I will finish up PA school in August of 2014 and am very open as to where i might end up. I know most people are looking to meet locals, and ideally i would be too, however i am very open to meeting someone who lives elsewhere and am open to moving to new places and experiencing a new adventure once school is finished.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My Eyes or my glasses...and sometimes my dog :-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Mountains Beyond Mountains, Strength that Remains, Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee, anything by Henri Nouwen, Brennen Manning, or Stephen Lawhead. Books by CS Lewis, Gary Thomas, Francis Chan, and the Bible. i love the poetry of Robert Frost and old classics.

Food - Love trying new ethnic restaurants, love Nepali/Indian food, Thai, sushi, and good ol fashion BBQ and Sweet Tea

Music - changes all the time as i find out about new bands, but love Jazz (miles davis), Blues (Albert King, SRV, BB King, Muddy, Jonny Lang), Folk (rosie thomas, Storyhill, Peter Mayer, James T), love Ben Harper, Caedmon's Call, Rich Mullins, Charlie Hall, Chris Tomlin, D. Crowder, Counting Crows, DMB, Dispatch, Etta James, Fleet Foxes, Jesus Culture, Gungor, Lyle Lovett, Mindy Smith, Mumford, Switchfoot, Trampled by Turtles, Bright Eyes, Arcade Fire, Iron and Wine, Alison Krauss, Foster the People, Sara Bareilles, and fun local and independent artists.

TV - Don't watch much, but when i do, NCIS (both of them), i loved 24 and prison break. Documentary's when they are on. i don't watch a ton of sports on TV, but i do enjoy college football (Go Penn State!), March madness (UNC!), World Cup soccer, and the Olympics. But would much rather head outside and play rather then sit on the couch and watch :-)

Movies - Action Suspense (the Bourne movies), Most things with Johnny Depp (finding neverland etc), love movies that make me jump, movies where things blow up (i am a guy), but also like movies that make you think.
Six things I could never do without
Family/Friends/Faith (since moving to Utah, i have been asked a lot if i am LDS and i'm not)
Running shoes
My dog
Music ...or my guitar
Good coffee
You should message me if
You are fun, love to laugh, are spontaneous. If you enjoy being active and being outside. Love the smell of autumn, and the warmth of a fire in winter. Are committed to Christ and want to grow deeper in your relationship with Him. And if you feel like age is a mystery and that people who are 80 can be as active and full of life as people who are 20.
