My self-summary
I'm an artist at heart. I love theatre and music, and dream of traveling to New York and Europe someday. (Actually succeeded at a New York trip this December....it won't be my last). For my working life I'm a Substitute Teacher and I'm in the process of finishing up school to become an English and/or Theatre teacher. Theatre is one of my true passions in life.

My Perfect Match:

I'm very similar to most I suppose. I'm looking for someone who is caring, who will mesh well with me, who I can care for and who will care for me. :). Honesty is also very much key for me.

Bonus Points (if you are):

College Educated
Geeky :) (i.e. likes Fantasy/Sci Fi Lit, Joss Whedon, good music)
Have some love for Theatre
Enjoys Disney/Disneyland
Ready for something real

......read on if you're interested about more :)
What I’m doing with my life
I stay pretty active by being apart of as much community theatre as I can. It truly gives me a place where I can relax and be myself. And I work in three districts as a Sub. Love to stay busy. Also, working my way up to audition for an MFA program in Acting/Musical Theatre. No rest for the wicked. :)
I’m really good at
-loving my friends
-being sarcastic

and...... singing to the back of the house. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I'd say...my eyes, smile, and my sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I was an English Literature major so I do like to read when I actually have the time. I suppose my preferences are Romantic Lit (this does NOT mean trash novels. I'm talkin' Byron and Blake people.) Fantasy/Sci Fi, poetry, the classics, and lately -Shakespeare (I've participated/acted in a Shakespeare Festival the last couple of years so I read it kinda often now).

For those who like lists (for those who hate lists feel free to skip ahead), some of my favorite reads are:

Harry Potter Series (Rowling, J.K.), Hunger Games (Collins, Suzanne), Ender's Game (Card, Orson Scott), The Davinci Code (Brown, Daniel), Memoirs of a Geisha (Golden, Arthur), The Martian Chronicles (Bradbury, Ray), Gilgamesh; Oedipus Rex (Sophocles) Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Othello, A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare); Brother's Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson Fairy Tales, Gregory Maguire novels

and some favorite poets include...

Robert Frost
John Keats
Percy Bysshe Shelley
Edgar Allen Poe (his short stories too)

Ok moving on...Music:

I'm a music lover. But my preferences lean towards Oldies, Alternative Rock, Classic Rock, pretty much all Musical Showtunes, and Classical.

Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Imagine Dragons, Mumford and Sons, Muse, Adele, Bruno Mars, Incubus, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Harry Chapin, Queen, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Black Sabbath, No Doubt, Aerosmith, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra (and the Rat Pack), Debussy, Bach....just to name a few.

Note: I did not list any Musicals. That list would go on forever. :)

TV: (currently)

Dr Who, Sherlock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Orange Is the New Black, Once Upon a Time, American Horror Story, Anthony Bourdain, Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls (always), New Girl, Girls, Glee, Shamless

Anything Comedy, Romantic, some Drama, Historical Fiction and anything based off a Musical. Basically if the acting is really good, I love it. Oh and practically all Classic Disney movies and Pixar.

Some off the top of my head that I like are:

The Red Violin, Empire of the Sun, Ratatouille, The Lion King, Juno, Shakespeare in Love, Under the Tuscan Sun, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Pan's Labyrinth, When Harry Met Sally, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, What Dreams May Come, Wizard of Oz, The Dark Knight, Me and My Gal, Fiddler on the Roof, Star Trek, and anything...Mel Brooks and Kevin Smith.

And Comedians....cause this should be a list:

Bo Burnham, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Bill Cosby, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy

Food- Not horribly picky. But I kinda love asian cuisine.
Six things I could never do without
Beyond the obvious (water, air, etc) and in no particular order...

Good friends and family
Relaxing days at Disneyland/Beach/etc.

and...Music in general

Have you ever heard the question "if you could only have one: the ability to see or the ability to hear, which one would you choose?" I always choose the ability to hear, because living in a world without music just seems unfathomable to me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'm doing, where I'm going and will I like it when I get there.

And....I suppose (when I am really thinking about school and work) how I and the rest of my generation of Teachers are going to make the school system better for future education.

Also....what's the next show that I am going to see or be in. I will say, this is a pretty frequent list.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with my friends when I can (i.e. at disneyland, movies, the theatre, local pub, game nights) or at a rehearsal/performance that I'm in that evening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
-Depending on the person, I trust too easily or not easily enough.

-Also, I'm honest...probably too honest. If you like that though, we may just get along very well.

-Please be real. Being fake/having a fake personality is the biggest turn off for me.

---> Men: You really need to smile in your pictures.

NOTICE: Don't use the like button please. I won't see it. Send me a message instead.
You should message me if
You are an honest, nice guy, who knows what you want and would like to get to know me.

And...if you got through this whole thing and are interested. Thanks for taking the time! :)
