My self-summary
Just looking for friends, thanks!

I'm equally at home in a leather jacket as I am in a suit and tie and I'm a lover of art photography, a frequent improviser and an infrequent stand-up comic.

I'm a fan of vintage anything, especially the 1930s through the 1960s. I get really excited anytime I see weathered bits of old ads painted on brick walls or spot neon signs that are older than my parents. I used to run an interior design blog.

Politics are important to me. I'm very liberal, and a radical trans-inclusive intersectional feminist. My dream job is to take over for Jon Stewart, but only if I could do it in Los Angeles.

I work some mornings at a pizza place and some evenings at another restaurant, so I'm very busy.

This last fall, I volunteered at my old high school another six days a week as a debate coach, and I love how I'm able to really help students at the age that I think is most important for future success.

Outside of work/volunteering, I take improv classes and try to do a bit of writing and photo editing.
What I’m doing with my life
Melting in the heat.

Working on my Ira Glass impression, and a couple of scripts for pilots. If you like Psych! or The Prisoner, these are in similar veins.

I'm saving up for law school.

I spend an absolutely ludicrous amount of time on tumblr looking at art photography and vintage ephemera. Ask for my url if you're interested
I’m really good at
Normal-person things I'm good at:
Cooking. I make an excellent cheesecake and a mighty fine pad thai.
Growing a beard

I was also a world-class unicyclist
The first things people usually notice about me
"you look a lot like Van Gogh"
"You look a lot like Adam Savage from Mythbusters"
"You look kinda like Mike Fotis"

I've got awesome glasses, I have a beard that can get pretty majestic, and odds are I'm carrying their lunch or dinner
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm more likely to read an interesting article in the New Yorker or The Atlantic than a book, but I liked The Little Prince, The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, Pedro Paramo, and anything Mary Roach ever authored.

O Brother, where art thou?; Casablanca; Snatch; Charade; Moon; OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies; Everything is Illuminated; It's All Gone Pete Tong; A Night at the Opera; Duck Soup; 3 Idiots; and Children of Men. This is not an exhaustive list.

Black Books, Luther, Spooks, QI, Doctor Who, Top Gear, The IT Crowd, Bones, House, Burn Notice, Psych, and Firefly.

Arcade Fire, Os Mutantes, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Lou Reed, Barenaked Ladies, Franz Ferdinand, the Features, the Hopefuls, The Fratellis, Gogol Bordello, Louis Jordan, Benny Goodman, Max Raabe, Stray Cats, The Toy Dolls.... the list goes on and on.

I make a decent Pad Thai, and I love Italian and Indian. I grew up eating comfort food, thick soups and buttery cookies, and I like to think that I've only improved on my mother's cooking.

Nedroid. Reginald is a form of me.
Six things I could never do without
The company of good friends
A laptop with internet
Deep and meaningful conversations
My camera (Rebel XTI)
My notebook of ideas
My bed.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Architecture, urban planning, interior design, and the first threads of screenplays and scripts.

How easy or difficult it would be to become a conceptual artist, and the genius of Ed Ruscha

Wondering where to get 120 Film developed
On a typical Friday night I am
Out and about!
I'm either spending time with friends and a good beer or two or on stage doing improv.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm still not 100% sure I know all the rules of Basketball.

I think Mary Lucia is the bomb
You should message me if
It's the 90's, go for it.
Do you consider yourself a feminist?
Does the phrase 'mid-century modern' mean anything to you?
Have you ever had the urge to dance in a coffee shop just because a good song was playing there? Do you still think Lego are cool?

Also, can you teach me how to use a twin lens reflex camera?
The two of us
