My self-summary
I was born in Erie Pennsylvania and migrated in-tow to the mid-west at two years of age.

I have moved all over the continental US, and now reside in sunny Tampa Florida. I would gladly move again for the right reasons.

Western Illinois University Alumni / Construction Superintendent best describes my academic and professional life.

Chemistry and compatibility are critical and I’m looking for a woman that will compliment a fairly well rounded lifestyle.

I believe my life in general and my abilities are rightly suitable for a relationship status change albeit am enjoying being single with aspirations of a life companion.

I like to laugh so I prefer someone with a sense of humor.

For me, the most attractive thing about a woman is she's young enough to safely have kids but mature. (I am realistic and fully understand that there will be an age difference between my perspective life partner and myself, but my man clock isn't ticking lol.) Her personality and drive is important but I also look for an emotionally and financially stable, honest, loyal, respectful, confident, motivated, successful, and if you're still reading,(ha-ha) drama free woman.

I like to play sports of all kinds, I am competitive, and go to the gym daily (weekends off). I've studied martial arts and in the past, road-raced motorcycles (but now I ride only for pleasure). I love music and have been playing the guitar since age seven. I'm the lead guitar player in a original metal band and play/rehearse weekly and play out occasionally.

Anything specific you wanted me to touch on and I haven't so far?

First date ideas:

A cup of coffee? This is where the chemistry happens (or not). Spontaneous and creative...I am always open to ideas or suggestions. I would like to start with communicating interests and personality by telephone before we decide any first date ideas. There are so many things that are important to schmooze on a first date, and my list may be a bit arbitrary.. Some possibilities are including but not limited to coffee (did I say that yet..), aquarium, theater, mini-golf or driving range, art gallery, concert / music show, sightseeing, new cuisine?

Six things I could never do without
Truth be told, there are so many things that are important in life, and again, my list may be a bit arbitrary. There are really just three things on my list that I really want to talk about at some point in great detail, but a top six list didn’t seem as good as a top 10 list (thanks Letterman), and it certainly didn’t seem to fit the “rules” of a good post. So, in no particular order, here’s my Top 10.

1. Family- If you're blessed to have a great family, love it and reach out to someone who may not be as blessed. Also remember that NO ONE’s family is perfect, no matter what. Try to love what you have. (Or at least try to laugh at the crazy ones. I’m allowed to say that because I’m one of them. ; )

2. Friends – choose wisely, and be the best friend you can be.

3. Genuine love and support, both receiving and giving.

4. Health and making the most of it.

5. The basics: health food, water, sleep, oxygen.

6. Comfort food (OCCASIONALLY).

7. A sense of humility. NO ONE is better than anyone else.

8. Motion.

9. Purpose.

10. Faith in God and a positive mind.

Which three do I want to talk about in greater detail? Numbers 8, 9 and 10. My thoughts on those three things constitute another 500-800 words. But for this post, I’ll stick to one little piece of advice. It’s not so much about what my top 10 most important things in life may be, it’s about getting “stuck,” as I so often do. And we all do.

If you are stuck, maybe you’re thinking about something you really want to work on but you don’t know where to start, or you’re afraid you won’t do it well or you get anxiety just thinking about it, here’s my advice to you: Don’t let perfection get in the way of progress.

Adios for now... and thanks for stopping by.
