My self-summary
I am curious by nature.

Looking for someone with a decent sense of herself, who dresses well, and can carry on an intelligent conversation. I'm looking for someone who is more loyal to having an open mind than to a particular political party. I'm also interested in television, movies, electronics, tennis, hiking, music and the outdoors.

I've taken risks in my life and have few regrets having lived on my own terms. I'm not necessarily looking for someone who lives life on the edge but rather someone who's not afraid to try new things, travel to new places, discuss interesting topics, etc.

I am Clever, talented, and ingenious
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am a business analyst (and copy editor) for a development team at a mid-size software firm in Reston. Hooray! Short commute! I like my job but it doesn't define me.

What does define me is my son and my interests: photography, music, movies, reading, having fun.

Lately I have gotten back into cooking with the mantra of keep it simple, keep it fresh. So far it has worked out really well.
I’m really good at
taking things apart (and sometimes putting them back together), cooking (usually), driving, figuring out random technical crap, photography
The first things people usually notice about me
My butt, my smile, my eyes (usually not all at the same time).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Whoa. I am the typical "I like all kinds of Music" person that we all find annoying. I like Alt/Punk rock, new wave (80's) rock, "Classic Rock", Real Jazz (Davis, Coltrane, Gordon) not that smooth jazz/elevator music crap, some rap (Public Enemy, Ice-T) Trance/Dance/House/Electro, etc.

Books are just as varied. I like the works of the beatniks (Burroughs, Kerouac) as well as many of the "classics" like Shakespeare, Maugham, Hemingway, Steinbeck, etc. I also like spy novels, the quirky works like "Catch-22" by Heller, most of the works by Vonnegut, and more thematic works like "Among the Thugs" and Davis' "City of Quartz." And since I was a history major in college, I enjoy books on 20th century American history and foreign policy.

I like all kinds of food from a great steak to shrimp to ratatouille to sushi and of course chicken.

My movie tastes are just as varied as my music and tastes, but basically any well written, well acted drama is good in my book as well as foreign and noir films, and sometime "stuff goes boom" mindless action movies.
Six things I could never do without
My Son My Nikon My pen Music Books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics and world events, Music, Photography, My Son, what great movie I haven't seen yet, what book I am going to read next, what's on my XM, and if my Tivo recorded my favorite shows. And if I am dating someone I spend alot of time thinking about them.

And why the hell am I only an 88% Match, 97% Friend, 1% Enemy to myself? And don't give me this "Well you see our computer model...blah blah blah" jive.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a typical Friday night. At least for me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hahaha...get to know me better first
You should message me if
You are interested in hanging out with a funny, smart, good looking guy for drinks, going to see live music (isn't it odd that you say you "see" something that you actually "hear"?), interesting conversation, having a delicious meal cooking for you, and whatever else that happens.
