My self-summary
I am a recently widowed 54 year old man, looking to get back in the game. I made a corny promise to my wife, right out of a Harlequin Romance novel, not to pine away for her after she was gone. So here I am, looking for someone to date and have fun with. Someone with whom I can laugh, cry, share thoughts, argue and then make up, but mostly someone with whom I can share myself and who can share herself. I am looking for a relationship that is not complicated, is full of fun, and one that doesn't drain my bank account. Not just a roll in the hay (although I would expect a good deal of rolling once I found someone fun). I am not picky about looks, as long as children don't run away shrieking at the sight of you. I love games and drama. I hate sunsets and long walks on the beach (I live in Colorado, for crying out loud!).
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I am living alone in the Springs. Not working because I am not bored enough yet. Trying to get myself back into shape after years of being in "married" shape.
I’m really good at
Talking. Someone once said I could talk the balls off a Rhinosaurus (bonus points if you find that phrase familiar). I've been told I'm kinda flirty, but I don't see it. I'm a good cook, which explains the extra pounds.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm always laughing. I believe it's what's kept me young. People are always shocked when I tell them how old I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - anything by Stephen King. He's my guilty pleasure. Also the classics. I love big spectacular movies like the kind that are shown in IMAX theaters. I also have a soft spot for indies, as long as they have an ending. Food, fuggedaboudit. Everything. Except that I have found as I get older some foods don't like me any more.
Six things I could never do without
My five senses, my computer, my iphone, my sense of humor, my family, and a good laugh (but not necessarily in that order).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How it's going to end and what it will be like after. I'm not religious, but I am somewhat spiritual. I like really deep philosophical thoughts like "If the universe is infinite and it is expanding, into what is it expanding?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Naked on the couch with a bag of Cheezy Poofs watching South Park. Actually, my couch is leather, and I would stick to it if that were true. I'm usually just sitting here by myself.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
There's not much I won't admit, but not in an open forum.
You should message me if
You want someone who will treat you how you deserve to be treated. Perhaps you've kissed a lot of frogs, or perhaps you've been in a bad relationship. I am truthful to a fault, and you should message me if you want someone with whom to share yourself.
