My self-summary
"Just a city boy born and raised in south [Moscow]."
What I’m doing with my life
In Houston for at least the year and finally living outside the East Coast for a legal gig.

Apart from that, I really love running. I'm also frequently watching/playing soccer/football (if you love Liverpool FC, we should talk). And right now I'm doing some free writing of humor/fiction in my spare time.

I generally just love trying/learning new things and engaging in general silliness. Trying to explore the vast wonders of Texas and Louisiana while I'm down here . . . because I watched way too much True Detective Season 1.
I’m really good at
-Playing Guitar (more like relatively decent at the moment)
-Pondering those deep essential questions of life (ex. When will someone invent the Back to the Future skateboard?)
-Cat wrangling
-Sleeping through pretty much anything
The first things people usually notice about me
The ever so slight resemblance to Harry Potter and/or Edward Snowden. I've started embracing the former as a Halloween costume.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: pretty much anything (Ethiopian, Caribbean, Italian, Chinese, etc.) although I would love to know about any good Colombian/Mexican/Vietnamese spots in Houston.

Music: I've got really wide music tastes. I love jazz, classical, blues, rock, house, reggae, pop, soul, R&B, you name it. My real forte though is hip-hop. I thought learning about rap would help me assimilate into American culture and now have a really bizarre amount of knowledge about rap lyrics and culture.

Movies: Annie Hall, Pulp Fiction, Mimino, Dr. Strangelove, 500 Days of Summer (gotta love that Zooey Deschanel), The Godfather I & II, Forest Gump, Once Upon a Time in America, Garden State, 50/50, etc.

Books: One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Master and the Margarita, The Idiot, The Joke, The Red and the Black, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The War of the End of the World, Shame, Nudge, And the Band Played On, Snow

Shows: The Daily Show, Seinfeld, The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Veep, The Big Bang Theory, No Reservations, Chopped, The New Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Six things I could never do without
1. My guitar
2. A cooking stove
3. Anything that plays music
4. Pop Tarts
5. Running Sneakers
6. Widgets
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art, Literature, History, Melodies, All Time Soccer Greats, What to make for Dinner, the most nonsensical rap lyrics of all time
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying something new or out and about with some great company!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I actively learn how to play Taylor Swift songs on my guitar. That woman gets me.
You should message me if
You want to grab coffee/food/drinks and just talk. I love meeting new people and hearing new perspectives … and I'm new to the area and don't know that many people here yet.
