Left corporate America Sept. 2008 from Ann Arbor Michigan to the central mountains of Idaho to write a book. Became a live-in caretaker to a disabled vet. No book produced, so moved on to an environment I believed would be conducive to writing. Not.
Update 2013-2016: lived in Arizona off-grid at Mexico border... then in Tucson with eye toward intentional self-sustainable community to live among like-minds, back to nature, growing and making everything, fulfilling a lifelong dream... lost most of my excess weight (down from 325+, and have less than 30 pounds to go)...
Update May 2016: Back in A2. Feels like hOMe, already I feel younger! Still a dreamer, fine-tuning realization. Better & better is my philosophy, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. This sums it up nicely: "You Are A Cheddar Chip. You are an unusual person, and you defy expectations. You are living your own kind of life. You don't try to adhere to anyone's standards and rules. You do whatever feels right to your gut. You sometimes hang back, but you often have a larger-than-life personality around others. You are a storyteller. You have hilarious jokes and anecdotes. Your life is never boring, and you enjoy all the challenges that come your way." Blogthings 9-16-2014

because, even better, to quote writer James Michener: “The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he’s always doing both.”
