Why am I here: I met my current girlfriend of 6 years on OkCupid, so that seems to have worked out. We've both been interested for a while in adding a third (female) partner to our relationship. Now that we no longer live in a college town, we're giving it a go on here.
What I do: My formal education is in Linguistics and Computational Linguistics. I'm currently working as a test engineer, but I'll be transitioning to another job in my company in six months or so. I've only been working here for a month or so, but so far I really like it.
What I do for fun:. I like to get outdoors as much as possible. Maybe if I managed to do it more I could upgrade from average build to athletic... I especially like swimming and non-extreme water sports (e.g. paddleboards, canoeing, snorkelling, etc.). Again, I should probably do this more often. I read a lot, and although I'm a late-comer to the genre, I've been almost exclusively reading sci-fi for two years now. I love movies, especially sci-fi and horror. I recently started watching older studio films, and I'm now even more disappointed with the selection at the multiplex. If you know of any good film festivals in the area, please let me know. I love to travel, but having been a student for the past too many years, I've only managed to make it out of the country twice so far. I expect to start making up for lost time as soon as I accrue enough PTO. I used to keep snakes, and I plan to again, but unfortunately I had to rehome them all to move to the Bay Area. I'm still sad about that :(. I did manage to hold onto my Tarantulas, but they don't like to cuddle as much... I'm 420 friendly, and currently reveling in the marvel that is legal medical marijuana. I'm also a big fan of craft beer, fresh roasted coffee, and well made food. I like to cook, love to try new food, and I'm pretty excited about how much Lion Supermarket is going to facilitate those hobbies.
hiking (more like walking around in nature)
Netflix (or Hulu, piracy is too much work)
Google Maps (holy shit this is the most useful thing I've ever owned)
Vacations (I work to live, not the other way around)
