My self-summary
I'm the ungodly fusion of actor and tech geek with a little Japanese language learning on the side. If I'm not working on my computer or browsing the latest tech news I usually chill out with a good movie or get a little gaming in.

To give you a better idea of my personality I'll give you some specifics. I am of the libertarian persuasion which means if you're doing something and it doesn't have direct, significant, harmful effect on others or their rights then I'm cool with it. I don't believe in any gods or their respective evil counterparts or supernatural phenomena but I do believe in Flying Spaghetti Monster as I have been touched personally by his noodly appendage. The Invisible Pink Unicorn is a total myth, though.

In person I'm pretty laid back and it takes a lot to ruffle my feathers. I can be a little shy at first and it can take me a bit to warm up to people but when I do I can be pretty affectionate and really have a warm, gooey center.

I am loyal, humorous, and a geek
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm working at a technical helpdesk. I'm looking to finish out my degree in Theatre/Drama at some point and that's my primary goal at the moment. Don't worry, I try to keep the drama on the stage and out of life.
I’m really good at
I'm relatively good at technological things and often help friends and family with computer or network related stuff.

I'm not a great soloist but I like to think I'm a good choral singer.

I'm pretty quick at picking up new things.
The first things people usually notice about me
is probably the hat nowadays. I love older style hats like fedoras and bowlers. Mine's not really either of those but I think it's pretty stylin' anyways.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music over 20 years old and some more modern punk and indie music. Nerdy TV shows like Fringe, Star Trek. I also enjoy shows like South Park, Futurama, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. For those who would recognize some foreign shows Doctor Who, Torchwood, Red Dwarf, The IT Crowd, and Black Books are among my favorites. I recently saw a Canadian gem called Trailer Park Boys which is quite possibly the funniest show in existence.

Recently I re-read the Dune series. Always good. I'm also a fan of the Wheel of Time books, The Dark is Rising series, His Dark Materials series, and Harry Potter. I read the Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card fairly recently and devoured them. Some of the best sci-fi I've ever read. Now, I've just finished reading through the Hitchhiker's Guide series, something I should have done a long time ago. It was excellent and funnier than I expected.
Six things I could never do without
PC and the Internet
Good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The deep philosophical stuff like who am I? Does god exist? (No) Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

The small stuff like the latest movie, tv show, gaming, or tech news.
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer lately. How can I claim to be a geek in my description and not have seen this? I'm correcting the issue immediately.

Update: Caught up on Buffy and Angel and am now trying to get a friend to take the leap. Now Friday's are mostly spent hanging with my friends and sometimes trying to survive the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles drinking game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Is that I have a few white hairs coming in. Not many, thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but a few.
You should message me if
we're gonna rock on to Electric Avenue. And then we'll take it higher.

...or if you feel like it.
