My self-summary
I'm kind, candid, and witty.
I love art and I tend to see the bright side of everything. I'm very comfortable meeting new people and always feel as though I fit in, although I never had any desire to conform. I am a loyal friend, an eager helper, and it is nearly impossible to get me angry. Convinced of my own coolness, despite evidence to contrary, I've been a litigator, teacher, real estate developer, management consultant, race car driver, product designer, and visual artist. Strangers frequently ask if I am a comedian. I'm still not. That was a frequent inquiry in grade school as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Creating art, helping others, trying to increase kindness and calm in the world.
I’m really good at
Thinking that whatever I am doing is tremendously cool, telling stories, making analogies, closing arguments, staying calm in crisis, creating art, procrastinating, having fun, solving problems, applying logic, listening, remembering. I have unlimited patience.
The first things people usually notice about me
There are 2 little dogs in my backpack.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, The Life of Pi, Heyday, Marjorie Morningstar, Mama Day, My Name is Asher Lev, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Tipping Point, Outliers, Freakanomics, Where the Wild Things Are, My Lonely Miserable Lesbian Pregnancy,

Theater: Hair (this play is almost a religion to me. It is Hamlet. It is la Boheme. It is about tribe, in so many ways. And it is about parents and children. If it's playing anywhere, let's go), Cabaret
Movies: It Happened One Night, Chicago, Monsoon Wedding, Slumdog Millionaire, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs, A River Runs Through It, Pulp Fiction, Scarface, Avalon (Michael really did start the fire), Menace II Society, Wet Hot American Summer, Snatch, Casablanca, In the Heat of the Night, The Silence of the Lambs, Roman Holiday, The Talented Mr. Ripley, This is Spinal Tap, The Godfather, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Godfather II, Full Metal Jacket,
TV: Arrested Development, Modern Family, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire
Six things I could never do without
It's all about people. Family and friends who love me and whom I love. In the recent past, I have received and seen such incredible goodness from others. It only makes me want to live up to those examples. Sure, I'm fond of my iPad, my scooter, coffee, and other things, but I know that I can live without them, though I don't care to. Relationships are key.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This used to mention my inability to stick with a hairstyle. True, but perhaps something more profound? I think that the world exists for people to contribute to improving the lot of others. Am I helping enough?

Okc specific: this app says that I showed up in 1540 searches in the past 24 hours. Really? Only 2 women looked at my profile. #gottaphotoshopthosepics
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Due to some as-yet undiagnosed pathology, I mistakenly believe that I am far more attractive than I actually am. This explains why I may send you a message though you know you're way out of my league. Please, be kind. It's a medical issue. Humor me.
You should message me if
if you are kind, funny and pretty and you think I am.
