My self-summary
I am restless and curious. There is no lifelong obsession with one specific topic for me. I cruise from one thing to another. I have spent huge amounts of time camping and just as much time alone in a room reading, gaming, meditating or writing. I have a somewhat alternating nature. Sometimes I want to explore the world and others I want to explore some idea or topic. I have not ever had a hobby that defines me. I am not a writer yet I have written. I am not a singer but sometimes I have sung. I am not a gamer yet I game. I am not a outdoors man yet I have spent a lot of time outdoors.

First and foremost I am an optimist and a lover of life.
What I’m doing with my life
Seeking new and interesting experiences. I think the world is more safe than hostile. I am an introvert and focus more on learning new things and mulling over games, art and literature. I am by no means a well read or diligent reader, though what I have read has enriched my life. Career success is very important to me yet not a top priority.

Many doors swing right open for me. I have an above average capacity for working with people. However spend much of my time alone and pursuing some project or activity. I game quite a bit and it does take up more than 5 hours of my weeks. Gaming helps me decompress and it is challenging and therefore a worthwhile preoccupation.
I’m really good at
Story telling and tinkering with software.

Breaking down a game to it's moving parts and changing it to suit my gaming style. While I am technically a huge nerd my social skills have not suffered to drastically.

I grew up going camping in the desert with my father. A man very easily described as a raconteur albeit a slightly repetitive one. Stories of places far remote in both time and location. He loves NASA and astronomy more than his real life I suspect. That obsession with space and science fiction is either hereditary or learned... it is part of me in a large way.

So I spend a lot of time day dreaming and looking at the sky day or night. I have become good at retelling stories I have read with a slight shift towards my own idea. Michael Chabon in Maps and Legends describes two types of storytellers. Those that delve into the known and local world. Enriching and percolating lore into a deeply steeped cultural identity. And the others seek out new worlds like sailors seeking distant lands and returning with new experiences to add robustness to the already known.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I am quiet and don't speak much at first introduction. Yet have a loud voice and ramble once I am comfortable. Neither of these traits are fixed though sometimes they are true and other times they aren't. For the most part they are accurate though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Robert Anton Wilson, Joseph Campbell, Alan Watts, and Carl Sagan shaped a lot of how I view the world. Ambrose Bierce, H.P. Lovecraft, and Clark Ashton Smith have recently become very important influences on me.The Age of Wonder by Richard Holmes is fascinating.

Movie: Dune the 1984 version directed by David Lynch (corny though... a very corny movie) is my favorite movie if the only movie that comes to mind means that said movie is my favorite.

Music:DEVIN TOWNSEND, Ghost Brigade, Peter Gabriel, Estradasphere, Grails, Miasma & the Carousel of Headless Horses, Orange Tulip Conspiracy, Tom Waits, The Mars Volta, Blixa Bargeld, Dog Fashion Disco, Agents of Oblivion, The Book of Knots, Tool, El-creepo!, Mastodon, Kalmah, Isis, Guapo, Earth, Sunn O))), , The Deserts of Traun, Clutch, Corrosion of Conformity, Acid Bath, Black Engine, At War with Self, King Crimson, Bonobo, This Will Destroy You and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do next. I am perpetually finding new things that interest or excite me. I can barely contain myself most of the time. So much is interesting and amazing in this world. Thinking about what awesome things I want to do next can keep me up all night sometimes. So much so that I wake up at 6 am most days because I have to get out and do things. Every once in a while I crash hard and sleep for a time because of exhaustion.

I have an obsession with Sci-fi and fantasy literature, cinema, and games. Considering other worlds and what they could be like tickles my proverbial pickle. I do consider video games as a legitimate form of art albeit a troubled and young one.

Furthermore Robert Charles Wilson, Robert Anton Wilson, and Charles Stross are some of my favorite writers. Robert Charles Wilson presents very interesting and very unique realities.

I am an amateur futurist. I spend a large amount of time picturing what the future will bring... although I have no real ability to predict. One should be wary of people that claim they can.

R. Buckminster Fuller and Ray Kurzweil can shape a persons thinking about where we are going in a big and positive way.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am on one of the lowest rung's of the social ladder, working as a dishwasher at a local restaurant and bakery, it is a touch pill to swallow to go from where I was to where I am now. I am no longer competitive in my earlier career field and am switching careers.
