My self-summary
*it has been a while, and this needs serious updating. Please stand by. (Changes denoted by * until i get less lazy and actually update for realsies.)

Despite my pictures, i DO smile sometimes.

I hate people who litter. It really makes no sense to me when there is a garbage can on every corner. Subcategory of littering that i hate more? People who spit their gum out on the sidewalk and create those black leopard spots all over the city.

I also don't like old-timey looking phones with push buttons wedged into the rotary space. It's a design disaster and it needs to stop.

I suspect that dentists chip away and do other things inside our mouths so that we have to come back. I can't prove it, but i don't spend too much time worrying about it. I don't mind the dentist.

I recently set my toaster on fire. I was not making toast.
What I’m doing with my life
Contemplating a transition to a life of leisure.

Started running seriously in the past year or so. Just crossed the 10-mile mark on my way toward 2011 marathon goal. Come train with me! (Or at least help me find a way to get up for runs in the morning.)*

(*obviously it is no longer 2011. I have run two marathons since writing this. planning more. I REALLY need to update this thing.)
I’m really good at
Many things. I could use someone to remind me though.

I am a bit of a tech geek. I am usually the person people call for help fixing their computer and/or gadget.

I am WAY too informed. Half of that is related to my job and the other half is because of my naturally curious nature (and a bit of a Mr. Know-it-All). My friends often try to "scoop" me on news items, about pretty much anything, but it is rare that they can. I feel a little bad about that sometimes.*

(*some of this is altered due to circumstances. I don't actually feel that bad though.)

I am probably good at other things, but how long should i go on and on about that?
The first things people usually notice about me
That's really more a question about you then about me, no?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A lot of music. Can't hold a note, but i sure do like listening! I still buy CDs. I need the physical media, and even though i burn everything into my iTunes and then stream it across my wireless network, i need to look at my CDs. I considered years ago getting into vinyl, but i figured that would just segment my collection. I do still have all my old cassette tapes though.

I stopped reading for a while because i moved into the city and don't really commute on the train as much (i walk to work.) Plus, i read the newspaper for a living. But, since getting a kindle as a gift, i am reading again. Usually while doing laundry. I like forced relaxation in New York. I kinda miss the train.

I like movies, but i don't get the whole 3D craze. I hope it goes away soon.

I eat.
Six things I could never do without
I am working on new priorities. *

*That said, i recently put a bunch of my stuff in storage (long story) and it is amazing how much of your stuff you never think about, let alone need, when it is locked away.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
*i'll get back to you.
On a typical Friday night I am
It's mood dependent.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes i think the friend in your photo is hotter than you are.
You should message me if
Because you like me? You're bored?
Also, if you don't spit your gum out on the sidewalk.
