My self-summary
I’m sure you have already read a million profiles with guys telling you how awesome they are, so I figured I’d start with my dirty little secrets. I liked the Titanic and The Notebook (and, yes, I cried during one of them). I cuss like a pirate, but I won’t kill a fly. I think corny jokes are funny and sarcasm necessary. I’m way too impulsive and spontaneous; there have been more than a few occasions that I have left to go on a spur of the moment vacation…at 1030 at night. There is just something wildly liberating to just pick up and go somewhere at a moment’s notice. Can you relate?

I don’t like to deal with fake or two faced people; I prefer a drama free life. I find spending time in the great outdoors magical… having a fire roaring on top of a mountain just as the sun is starting to set is my idea of a great time. And I like to rock climb…a lot. It is absolutely inexplicable why hanging off a small little hold 1000 feet off the ground, while your heart is pounding and your head is screaming “why?,” is so addictive…but it is and I am. Have you ever done anything like that before?
What I’m doing with my life
Although I have already earned a degree in Philosophy and Psychology and currently work at St. Thomas Hospital, I have now been approved to be a climbing guide by the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA). Also, I have plans for opening up my own zipline course on my land. Eventually I will open up a guide service specifically for kids with disabilities in TN; although my true passion would be to focus on kids with Diabetes. It really breaks my heart to hear diabetic children say that they can't do something because they are diabetic...because their doctors told them it was "too risky.” I am now enrolled in school to pursue a career in physical therapy or recreational therapy, as that would further enhance my goal for a guiding service.

As an aside, I do have a bucket list and although I keep checking things off the list, it just seems to get longer as more time passes by :)
I’m really good at
Keeping my head cool when it really matters.
The first things people usually notice about me
My ability to listen or my vivid storytelling.

Other favoritres: The Prophet-Kahlil Gibran, Ishmael-Daniel Quinn, The Power of Now-Eckart Tolle, Siddhartha-Herman Hesse, The Tao Te Ching-Lao Tzu, The Tao of Pooh-Benjamin Hoff. Favorite movie of all time: American Beauty.
Other favorites: Avatar, Braveheart, Fight Club, The Princess Bride, Talledega Nights, The Notebook, The Last Samurai, Dancer in the Dark, Inception, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Beautiful Mind, Donnie Darko, The Lion King.

Typically, I cook most of my food and it's all a bunch of health food stuff, typically Paleo-ish...emphasis on the “ish." Oh, and a cup of Mud Pie ice cream is impossible to resist. When I see chocolate, something in me goes nuts and I have to have it…know what I mean?
The six things I could never do without
My climbing gear
My Rav4
My Bikes
Green Tea
My Friends
And of course my Mom.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Climbing, Holistic health, God and the Tao.
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting ready for work. I work weekends...Monday is my Friday. Sunday night I’m typically preparing to leave town early the next morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I had a pet wooly worm when I was younger...yeah, I know, but he was adorable though:) I'm literally an open book, I have no issues talking about anything.
You should message me if
You are a climber or would like to get into climbing. You know who Spinoza or Zhuang Tzu are. You have a deep interest in holistic health, and realize that there is no magic short cut. You think you can take me in a thumb wrestling match...;)
