My self-summary
Passionate about education. I work with low-income students to give them the educational opportunity I was fortunate enough to have. My other, nearly as strong passions include coffee, reading and buying ties.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm at the stage now after my Master's that I can no longer "not know" what I'm doing. Thankfully I gave up medicine in eighth grade after I passed out while touring a hospital as a (former) member of Tulsa's Future Doctors program. Then in college when I realized a philosophy degree allowed me to either teach or be unemployed, I chose the former.
I’m really good at
Sounding intelligent with my word choice and using sarcasm. I'm also pretty good at puns, both intentional and otherwise.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm wearing skinny jeans.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny, and Mad Men.

Music: XX, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Local Natives, Yeasayer, Fleet Foxes, The Strokes, Foxygen.

Food: Whatever doesn't require cooking.
Six things I could never do without
Coffee, scones, Netflix, Sporting KC, Boulevard beer, cats.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to best organize my apartment to placate my OCD.
On a typical Friday night I am
Consuming beer as quickly as possible before my exhaustion from the week catches up with me. I also can't let a weekend pass without a game of pool.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can't decide if Herman Cain would have been America's best or worst president.
You should message me if
You've made it though all my answers and realized the vast majority are decidedly tounge-in-cheek.
