My self-summary
Moved to Melbourne in Jan 2010 from Brisbane and love it here. I was transferred with work and haven’t missed Brisbane at all (well apart from family and friends). Strangely enough I don’t mind the cold weather in Melb. It sort of brings a bit of romance and charm to winter. (Since writing my profile I have changed my mind....I hate the cold....bring back summer NOW). I do prefer the beach though. Give me a quiet secluded beach away from tourists in summer and I’m in my element. Plus I love building sandcastles. :)

I love nights at a comedy bar seeing local and well known comedians. Although I’m never sitting in the front row again.

There is only so much you can learn about me on here and the other way to find out more about me is to just to ask me.
Always keen for a chat. So track me down and say g'day.
What I’m doing with my life
Love adventure and exploring. Enjoy travelling and want to get back to Thailand sometime in the near future.

Visited friends for a month in Canada (Jul/Aug 2012) and had an amazing time catching up with them all. The profile photo on here was taken at the "Color Me Rad" fun run in Vancouver. Best fun you can have with your clothes on and come out tie dyed head to toe at the end.

Bit of a sports fan and love playing beach volleyball. Play in a few comps. I enjoy photography (even though I’m still a little scared to get out of the auto mode) and usually have the camera close at hand. Family and friends are the world to me. Love my nieces & nephews and friends kids and they keep me grounded because really, I’m a kid at heart myself.
I’m really good at
Making people smile. Strangely enough I don’t like celebrating or people making a fuss for my birthday. I prefer just to celebrate quietly with a friend or two. But I love to make friends feel ultra special on their birthdays. Whether that be flying to wherever they are to surprise them or to send something that makes them feel extra loved.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't normally ask them. Or maybe they are just too polite to tell me. that a good or a bad thing?
Lately I have had a sneaking suspicion that even though nobody comments on it, that they are all thinking that at 5’’6’ I’m the shortest 6’0’’ person they know. Ha! Think about it, it will make no sense but was just something strangely amusing that popped into my head. Lol.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Kim Wilkins is one of favourite authors. I get lost in reading her horror and fantasy novels. Also enjoy Jeffrey Deaver even though watching The Bone Collector movie kind of ruined the images I had of the characters in the book. I love Henry Rollins books (as well as the Rollins Band) and his stand-up performances are brilliant (note: if you ever see a stand-up show of his advertised....LET ME KNOW).
Movies: Love my spoof comedy movies even though everyone I know shakes their heads at some of the crap DVD’s I buy. Comedies in general I love, action, cartoons.
Shows: Have found that I tend to prefer to buy TV series on DVD and watch them all in one marathon weekend. I don’t have the attention span to tune in every week to watch shows and there is always something to do in Melbourne than watch TV. Just bought the Friends series to watch. Was an emotional wreck watching the final series of Ghost Whisperer, Alias, Gilmore Girls, The Shield and Veronica Mars. Loving shows like Parks & Recreation, Community, and Leverage and quite often have asthma attacks from laughing so much.
Music: I’ll pretty much listen to anything. I like to just to throw the iPod in the bag and leave it on shuffle and that way I don’t have the option to skip songs (and with Hilary Duff on my iPod at the moment it creates an interesting walk home from work. I love going to see bands from the old days that bring back fond memories. Recent concerts I’ve been to are Ganggajang, Arrested Development, Skunkhour, Icehouse. And usually there aren’t any teenagers at the gigs because they don’t know who the bands are. Lol.
Food: Oh my God....the food in Melbourne....kicks Brisbane’s ass. Lol. Have my favourite restaurants, Brown Sugar in the city, Embassy @ 97 in St Kilda, and was in tears for a week when C’est Bon at Port Melbourne closed (had some of the best food orgasms there....which means I just really loved their food....Lol). Koko Black is my fav chocolate shop in Melbourne. Mmmmmmm.
Six things I could never do without
IPod to tune out the crazy world with some tunes.
My close friends who as just awesome.
Family, nieces & nephews & friends kids.
The beach and to get sand between my toes.
Treating myself to a five star hotel for a few nights when travelling.

Note: I can most definitely live without my phone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If there was a zombie attack, would I fight against them or just give in and become one myself?
On a typical Friday night I am
Fighting zombies. Ha! Only joking. That's normally on Wednesday nights. Seriously, I’m watching a DVD and relaxing. Not that I’m boring or anything, it's just that after a huge week at work all I want to do is put my feet up and do sweet “F” all. Plus, my days of late nights out til the early hours of the morning are behind me.
(Note: have given up zombie fighting on Wednesday nights to play volleyball, so I hope you're prepared for the rising of the undead yourself).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ok, don't judge me, but I own several Mary-Kate & Ashley movies. Ok, it’s more than several, its most of them. They’re stupid and fun and a bit of light-hearted entertainment.
You should message me if haven't messaged me already? :) Seriously what are you waiting for?
I’m always looking for someone to chat with to pass the time and share a laugh with. Even if it’s just to kill 10 minutes or 10 days. Who knows, we may end up taking it off line and meeting up in real life human form to share a drink and a verbal conversation. I kind of remember they were fun to do before the interwebnet thingamajig came along.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You made it to the end of my profile. As one of the privileged few, you get to message me now and tell me the last 3 songs you listened to on your iPod.
