My self-summary
Let's do this. Self summary- I'm a Los Angeles Native in NYC 9 years (a bit of a New Yorker now), love them both. Love laughing, honesty, being inspired, good writing, poetry, the arts, clever branding, THE BEACH [miss it], traveling if I can, sincerely open minded folks, race and gender theory, Will Farrell, movies in general, optimism, meeting new people, my puppy,
cooking when I can, genuine people, snuggling.... Essentially- I like people, people who are smart and funny and whom I find attractive. I want to have as many new adventures as possible. I'm pretty outgoing but realize that underneath it I'm also a bit shy. How this is, I'm not sure, but it is!

Short Version // Remix

Underachieving Overachiever
Simultaneously progressing + regressing

Chaotic Perfectionist
So so full of hope
Sassy, sarcastic + sensitive

Disclaimer- I Had a tough time with some of these OKCupid questions; I don't think things are always yes or no, black or white, one or the other. There are so many things in-between and/or circumstantial. A good conversation proves best to navigate it all.

If you're a couple, please do not contact me. If you don't understand why it might be offensive, then Definitely don't contact me. Thanks! ::grumble::
What I’m doing with my life
Published author, ghostwriter, single puppy mom [ha], run my own consultancy for marketing + brand development and an online publication- and they are all going well. I'm full of gratitude and excited to see how things continue!

Wish there was more nature to check out in NYC, am open to find some and do more outdoors. Longing for the beach.

Otherwise I'm often also torturing myself thinking of/ walking by property I wish I could buy. I've been in my neighborhood for a few years and really like getting to know folks around my hood! Despite how the imagination floats up an off, I find having a home grounding.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, laughing, writing, connecting people, swimming, networking, learning, cooking now and then, finding great restaurants, both under and over estimating myself, kissing, spooning, wondering what else I should be writing that I'm not, thoughtful gifts that you didn't see coming, sleeping in/ staying up passed by bedtime, befriending dogs, chatting people up at parties, throwing dinner parties, watching movies, the JetBlue flight to LA (mastered it).
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair, freckles (at least in the summer here in NYC), my gap (in my teeth), and people always try to figure out 'where I'm from, my ethnic background', which is, as with any American, often all of the guesses, ha. Anything else? You tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A multitude of poets, all of whom aren't in any one good book; I would be happy to nerd out over them if that's your jam, but I know it's not everyone's :). Love Frida Kahlo, Sally Mann, Jean Michel Basquiat, Georgia O'Keef , good street art in general etc.

Shows- True Detective!! Ah!, Parks and Rec, The Americans, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Dexter, The Newsroom, Breaking Bad, True Blood (I know), boardwalk Empire, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Friday Night Lights, more I can't think of right now...

Huge movie buff, too many to list completely but I will say I Have a soft spot for terrible action movies (its like comfort food) and LOVE Will Farrell/ slapstick ridiculous humor. Yessss. Otherwise here are a few-
Gladiator, The Constant Gardner, Great Expectations, CQ, The Adventures of Baron Munchousen (sp?), The Departed, Rear Window, Lord of the Rings (obvi), The Place Beyond The Pines, Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, The Fighter, Anchorman, Gone Baby Gone, The Secret of Roan Inish, The Reader, Tallagega Nights, Hook and on and on...

Food- Love pasta, sushi, good Mexican, most things with garlic or chocolate [but not together]
The six things I could never do without
Hope, spell check, my puppy Zora, storytelling, folklore, mythology, good motorcycle boots or flip flops, Free Flight, love, sunshine, laughter, ice lattes, buddy Bill, friends and family, the sea, hugs, space, optimism, art, music, and currently, a non- republican in office, ignoring rules/suggestions, making lists past 6
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How effing good this is and how I want more! http://www.superstarmagazine.com/this-is-how-beyonces-drunk-in-love-would-sound-in-the-1940s/
How much I need a massage/vacation // Gratitude for all that I do have.
What I should be writing.
What I want to be when I grow up.
What time it is.
How can I bring a spirit of positivity and service into my business life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing something mellow with friends or at home. Usually pretty beat from the work week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have watched the entirety of The Wire- twice. That's right.

Most the swag is sass, then it just gets terribly bashful... So don't dish it if you can't take it but then really let's hug it out because I'm always only teasing ;)
