My self-summary
I'm smart but quiet and shy until I get comfortable with someone. I have my own way of doing things. I'm impulsive and this sometimes gets me in trouble, but it keeps things interesting. I'm very easygoing and accepting. I'm easily distracted.

I love cooking and baking. I like to play pool and can even be good at it on occasion. I don't really like most sports but I'll cheer for whatever team my buddies or family want to win.. I do like hockey though (go Caps) because the games are bloody and short. I like to read. I don't I want any kids. Words are my first love. Not religious but I would call myself spiritual in a way. Anyway, whatever your religious/spiritual beliefs, they will not bother me. I might ask lots of questions though. I love games, especially board games and games with large zones to explore, like WoW & Fallout 3. (I don't play WoW at the moment.) I rarely make jewelry, which I never wear, and occasionally like to color.

I am poly. If you're looking to settle down into a monogamous relationship with a girl who wants to marry you and bear your children, please look elsewhere. If you're looking for one night stands, please look elsewhere. I am somewhere between these extremes. If you are curious, please feel free to ask.

420 friendly.
What I’m doing with my life
Having fun.
I’m really good at
Listening. It's amazing what people will tell you when they don't think you're listening.

I'm good at writing. Putting words together in pleasing patterns. I love words.

Things I am NOT good at:
Verbal communication. I can express myself well through text but when it comes to speaking I am all umms and pauses. I wouldn't trade my writing talent for a golden tongue though.
Console video games - I love them, but am not very good at them. I blame controller sizes vs. my small hands, which I know doesn't even apply to some of the newer consoles haha.
Dealing with confrontation. I am very non-confrontational normally. That gets me in trouble sometimes, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know, do people normally tell other people this kind of thing? Probably that I'm really short, or maybe that I tend to stay quiet unless I have something worthwhile to say.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
None of these are in any particular order.

Books: The Discworld series and some other Pratchett works, ASOIAF, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, the Chronicles of Narnia, His Dark Materials, E. A. Poe (more the stories than the poems,) Wicked, Robert Heinlein, Star Wars novels (mostly the older ones,) 1984, The Monkey Wrench Gang, the Barrytown trilogy, the Sprawl trilogy... I suppose I could go on all day. Oh and books about random stuff like the ghosts of Ireland or dinosaurs or what-have-you.

Movies: Snatch, Natural Born Killers, the original Star Wars Trilogy, the Alien series, Fight Club, Tarantino films, RHPS, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Run Lola Run, But I'm a Cheerleader, Saved!, Empire Records, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 10 Things I Hate About You, Monty Python, zombie movies, The Princess Bride, Pan's Labyrinth, Digby Goes Down, Labyrinth, SLC Punk, Wild Zero, Office Space, Anchorman, 7even, Reefer Madness, The Avengers, 12 Angry Men, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Enemy at the Gates, Idiocracy, Kelly's Heroes...
I like watching terrible movies and making fun of them. I love watching action movies, I love hiding my face in someone's shoulder while watching horror movies, I dislike most romance and romantic comedies, and I love suspense and thriller movies. Drama I can take or leave depending on subject matter. Non-romantic comedy movies are hit or miss for me.

Shows: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Once Upon A Time, Archer, Futurama, The Simpsons, Eureka, Fringe, Doctor Who, Raising Hope, The Walking Dead (such a train wreck, just can't look away,) Orange Is the New Black, Sons of Anarchy, Merlin, The Wire, Law & Order, and of course plenty of others.

Music: I listen to a lot of different stuff; just ask, I guess. A sample of what has played from my random cycle of music in the last hour to follow shortly.

Food: I'm a picky eater. That's not to say I won't try anything once, provided it's not dog meat or something. I especially have a thing about textures and about knowing what is in the food I'm eating. I don't like bacon; apparently this is completely insane to some people. My favorite comfort meal is tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich.
Six things I could never do without
Food, water, atmosphere, a computer with internet access, companionship, and FOTWENNY, as my friend calls it.

I find myself counting when I read this section on other people's profiles to make sure they can count to six.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My friends. The universe and the nature of it. What really exists. Non-linear time theory. Whatever I learned today. Sex. The past and future. What movie to watch next. How to get all the bills paid and still have money to eat and have fun.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing games, watching a movie, having a drink, seeing a local band play, relaxing, hanging at a friend's house, it all really depends. When your weeks become typical it's time to make a change.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I accidentally set the carpet in our church on fire while at the candlelight service as a kid. I secretly think being an alternative/rock/punk/funky wedding planner and/or interior designer would be freakin' sweet. I've been on this site for at least twelve years. I don't wear makeup.
You should message me if
You feel like it, if you liked my profile, or if you can't think of the word you need (I'm a walking thesaurus).

Fair warning, I auto-delete messages that say boring stuff like "Hi, how are you?" How about responding to something in my profile? Let me know what made you want to talk to me so we have a good starting point. I try to do the same when I message people. I don't think it's asking too much.
