60% suggests you are not rigorous

This test is intended to look for several characteristics relevant to original thinkers and thought reformers.  I'll keep the actual details a little secret, not just to annoy you, but to encourage others to try for the coveted qualification of PHILOSOPHER KING.

60%  is a measure of your logical grasp of scientific method.  This is quite a complicated mixture of guesswork, skill, controlled experimentation, and application of previous knowledge.

Another figure is a measure of the some people's almost unconscious checking for plausibility.

Many people dislike the rigour of such methods even though they are essential even in 'arts' topics - such as analysing historical documents and testing ideas in art, archaeology, and so forth.   It's not surprising, since even experts often fail to distinguish theory from empiricism.  For example, no-one knows how anaesthetics work, though the practice is scientific in some sense.  However, it certainly seems to make sense to expect new ideas to conform as far as possible to reasonably established truth.  If they don't they will probably not last, and will come under attack - though undoubtedly some influential beliefs linger for remarkable lengths of time.

Recommendations: This is not easy, as many people cling to views which are pre-scientific. If you're a fundamentalist, if you believe you're chosen by God, if you have no idea how we came to be where we are, if you have no idea what 'experiment' means, if you criticise some practice or other but fail to criticise others on the same footing, I have sympathy, since there are whole industries out there aimed at you.  Why not at least discuss how people think they know what they do with a friend or colleague?
